INDIVIDUAL’S NATURAL GROWTH UNDER NATURAL CIRCUMSTANCES

NATURAL GROWTH UNDER NATURAL CIRCUMSTANCES IS CLOSE TO SELF-ACTUALIZATION & MENTAL PEACE

In the present era, people mostly shifting from rural and natural areas to urban, fast moving competitive lives, have less time to enjoy natural environment in human social bonds based on mutual feelings and understanding leading to peace and soothing mental state. In the process of character building, the newborn is exposed too much to social media, images and superficial cartoons which sharpen the brain’s receptive power but ignore the physical exercises, resulting in which an artificial habit pattern is introduced without sharing deep emotional bonds, leading to self-centered, competitive survival thinking pattern. This natural growth of mental frequency is loaded with imaginary world of existence in fantasies than the natural flow of balanced human growth with self-awareness and natural involvement in the soothing environment and interaction with the real-life situations among his fellow human beings. The mental pictures stored in the early life become the thoughts, beliefs, and taboos as a part of the decision-making process in life. As childhood is an innocent age, so he takes social models under approval of the significant others. If the parents are later worried about the bad habits, rigid or aggressive behavior of the teenagers, they are solely responsible for shaping such personality patterns on a clean sensitive slate of mind of a newborn creature. Mostly young age’s attraction to glittering stimuli attract him to follow such objects of luxurious life. The wealthy family finds toys, tv, I-pads, cell phones or internet facilities without disciplining a child.  Resultingly, in a spoiled child’s style of life, rewarding without any output, under state of saturation, the wealthy turn arrogant under affluence while poor turn humble, looking for the Creator’s blessings in hardships and getting reward of patience in the long run. By nature, mankind is quick in response without considering the after effect of his responses in V-21: 37,” Man is created of haste, I will show you My Ayat (torments, proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). So, ask Me not to hasten (them)”. So, the imbalance between spiritual growth and craze for apparent luxurious life creates imbalance, leading to mental derailment under tough social challenges without sincere belongingness, making a person feel alone and insecure in a meaningless life, speedily adding clienteles in the mental health field.

Often over-pampered children become arrogant and over-confident loading their perception with a false persona to such an extent that their sense is blocked to differentiate between right and wrong, turn brutal to rule over the helpless citizens, brag their self even above the Creator, feel supernatural in affluent status, heath or wealth in the prime time, without fear of death or accountability process in the end of life time. In fact, such a Ruh is painted with extremes at the early stages so deeply that he loses insight of the needs of a cultural system and directs the masses under a manic state of mind. Such rigid attitudes turn a person arrogant and cruel in nature which creates negative impact in the suppressed class who are played by them like caged animals for their personal wishes. Historical data proves when such nations were destroyed by great natural disasters.

As human life has turned mechanical in nature, lost under unnecessary information and unlimited urges with uncontrolled flow of thoughts, people have least time to have self-awareness or the insight to realize and thank the Creator. Whatever model a child perceives, he unconsciously imitates without getting a reason from the people around. Nature has blessed insight and curiosity in human but they take for granted a religion and even worship lifeless idols, people, saint’s graves or play in the hands of extreme religious leaders and pirs without applying reason that how can a person who is mortal be superior to him? Under such confusion and changing circumstances, he is at a loss to whom he may approach for a rational solution. Although present media and social media has provided all spiritual and religious information, the blocked mind remains at confusion and looks for such short, easy solution of which the selfish religious take benefit of the situation and play with the feelings of the ignorant. Actually, the solution is within a person to get self-awareness, hold the middle path between original demands and resetting the speedy mind by connecting with nature, sharing moment and thanking for the provisions by comparing with deprived ones by kindling warmth and enjoying the common bond of humanity which he could not generate in the flow of power, wealth and self-projection. No doubt all that glitters is not gold and peace is within oneself by communicating in each moment of life.

Under the present trend of a self-centered and speedy thinking process in struggle for worldly temptations and competition, new generation is losing self-resistance and easily catching physical and psych-somatic ailments. So, the best simple solution lies in setting a new life schedule for enjoying, feeling, observing through participating with nature on the formula of be natural, be a part of the nature and enjoy the natural process before and after a job, on weekend trips, monthly and annual visits to various tourist resorts, etc., far away from the artificial robot style living. Otherwise having all, one will remain empty, having lost precious moment of life by leaving with empty hands all the provisions and blessings of the Lord till reaching the graveyard where all such big guns have turned dust to dust and nobody have time to remember their great titles.

In the present era, abrupt changes, artificial and mechanical progress is increasing the rate of stress and change which has induced a deep impact on daily life. A self-centered life pattern with decreasing mutual emotional human bond is the main cause of tension, anxiety, and insecurity. Clinically, the increase in psycho-somatic diseases as a common trend, has turned a simple human with complicated thinking pattern and social life mechanical in nature.

The main cause of this phenomenon is an imbalance between human social ethical, moral values and intellectual pursuits for power, wealth and extreme fantasies to gain within the shortest time. A purposeful but simple, nature-oriented person with individuality has lost his integrity in the trend for extremes.

In fact, where there is a will, there is a way to handle a crisis in life. As all these abnormalities are self-induced thinking patterns and misusing the time factor under abnormally created environmental pressures, so clinically all such psychic/soul/Ruh matters can be taken care through behavior modification and systematic desensitization.

Unfortunately, the client is impatient to see miracles or abrupt changes in his self-addicted fantasy life but he forgets that like chain-smoker, once he was a non-smoker but it was the self-created habit pattern which now he feels helpless to come out of this mental chess. So, an artificial life is like a complex, dependent life full of mental chess.

Contentment is great blessing and everlasting mental peace for mankind as it makes a person free of temptations, fantasies and anxieties generated by the outer world and its competitions. The more a person has simple, easy-going life free of self-imposed ifs and buts, the more he is fresh-minded, physically smart and lively in a natural situation.

Adam’s children are warned and simple guideline is provided to follow the successful path in life V-90:3-10,” And by the begetter (i.e. Adam) and that which he begot (i.e. his progeny); Verily, We have created man in toil. Thinks he that none can overcome him? He says (boastfully): "I have wasted wealth in abundance!"  Thinks he that none sees him? Have We not made for him a pair of eyes? And a tongue and a pair of lips? And shown him the two ways (good and evil)?”

                                   (Cont'd in the Book)

"The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy. O you who believe! Let not a group scoff at another group, it may be that the latter are better than the former; nor let (some) women scoff at other women, it may be that the latter are better than the former, nor defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. How bad is it, to insult one's brother after having Faith [i.e. to call your Muslim brother (a faithful believer) as: "O sinner", or "O wicked", etc.]. And whosoever does not repent, then such are indeed Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.). O you who believe! Avoid much suspicions, indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting) . And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who accepts repentance, Most Merciful.

(V-49:6-12)

PROCESS OF PEACE, PROSPERITY & MENTAL HEALTH

EMERGENCE OF SELF-CONCEPT & URGE FOR SELF-SATISFACTION IN A PERSON

A normal baby is born with healthy physique and individual trait with a clean slate mind. During the early stages of life, he adopts various models according to his family sources and facilities. If he is brought up in an affluent family where he has approach to best facilities with abundance without any restriction, he develops feelings as a special creed on earth and takes everything for granted. As he is not conditioned to any law, he becomes stubborn and acts like a spoiled child, becomes argumentative and aggressive in teenage, and grabs whatever he likes by considering himself a master of all. As he further grows, he does not care about advice, not even listening to warnings, makes his own rules, takes life as fun and pleasure, mixes up with carefree peers, becomes selfish and even prefers them over parents’ command or rules. In adolescent, he becomes wild, starts gang activities, becomes ambitious and crazy for wealth and power, behaves arrogant but has no choice but to turn to family under crisis, disease, loss, etc.

Instead of learning from fault, he returns to the old pattern by saying all is gained by his own wit and power. In the ups and downs of life or testing times, he remains rigid and disobedient to the family till death. Then he realizes his faults but all in vain as he has done tremendous damage to society and never paid back his parents, so he his is not repenting but is helpless to carry out selfish, superiority of self-concept.

It is tragic to explain how a self turns against own self. This is seen as self-torturing, self-hatred, suicidal ideation, depression, low self-esteem, self-critical nature, blaming self for others’ faults or behavior, guilt, excusing attitude, overloading with others’ burdens, avoiding achievements, never caring for own needs, becoming stubborn in the belief of cruelty of others, losing interest and feeling alone under crisis, without any hope behaving like a withdrawn child in a corner crying in vain, feeling a mental orphan in spite of having family as he could not prove to be an ideal child up to expectations.

At times when a child is not provided proper attention, he gets involved in eating disorders; self-centeredness leads to narcissist self-pity or later leads toward an anorexia disorder, etc.

Under the law of survival, by nature, everyone is selfish to fool others to get his job done. Unfortunately, a parent thinks a child is a senseless creature and does not understand that as an individual by birth needs understanding with self-entity. Irrespective of age, self-respect is above all, it is a sensitive line of self-actualization. In this respect, while providing warmth for self-esteem, over- pampering without an output leads to superiority complex which is indirectly an inferiority complex in which the child spends his energy to prove it through exhibitionism. If one is born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he wishes to remain focus of attention and later on looks for admiring people; on the other hand, if rejected, he makes it life mission to get approval of other through fair or foul means.

Although human being is created as restless and struggling for self-survival, if it is provided soothing environment, he will complete the circle of peaceful life in a natural process. Historically, almost all the religious scholars, prophets like Moses, Uzair, Isa, Maryam, Dawood, Ayyub, Ibrahim, Muhammad (PBUH) used to pray in peaceful solitary areas where Allah (God) revealed the holy messages to them for the guidance of derailed nations.

Psychological research emphasizes that parents must be alert in providing balanced output in the process of character building and personality development at early stages. Introvert, extrovert and ambivert are the most common words used in this process. It depends on the parents’ psychological knowledge and awareness, birth order, simple or combined family living pattern and rearing practices. Therefore, personality impoverishment is the outcome when a child takes extreme turn in a sociocultural environment. Clinically, dependency and over-confidence are the after effects of maltreatment of a child in the early stages of personality development. Therefore, a child is enforced to apply various defense mechanisms. At times, due to over-sensitivity, a child is trapped in hypochondriacal ailments which he uses as a scapegoat to avoid school or when he feels neglected in a novel environment among other children. The main cause is the insecurity due to dependency. If not properly disciplined, he may become rigid and obstinate, adopt the pattern of an absentminded thinker or be addicted like a narcotic personality, etc.

Family members and clan set up, education and awareness, appealing models during the satisfaction of psychological needs set the trend of becoming an individual. So, extreme forms are shaped due to anxiety and insecurity in different personality disorders such as sociopath, hysterical, obsessive-compulsive, aggressive/violent, borderline, possessive personality, etc., under the state of helplessness or hopelessness in a socio-cultural mechanism.
