Islam’s Fairness in Provisions: Full Freedom in satisfaction of Instinctive Needs under Set rules but no Compromise on Obligatory Duties

God has created the universe with a purpose. Among all the creatures, Adam and his children are honored as prestigious and benevolent creatures as His deputies on the earth. So, he has bestowed human beings with reasoning power and also given freedom of choice in life to see how much and how fair humans thank Him within the short life provided. He also provided all luxuries, hidden treasures of nature to explore. So, it is reminded in V-42:19,” Allah is very Gracious and Kind to His slaves. He gives provisions to whom He wills. And He is the All-Strong, the All-Mighty.”

Mankind is by nature weak in emotional control of temptation. So, Allah, being aware of it, described this phenomenon in V:4-28,” Allah wishes to lighten (the burden) for you; and man was created weak (cannot be patient to leave sexual intercourse with woman).”

Rules of Islamic theology are precise on the basic faith that He will forgive all sins in the long run except shirk/association with authority, V-4:48,” Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases, and whoever sets up partners with Allah in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin.”

To control extremist and abnormal behavior, Divine knowledge is provided through holy books and prophets to remind humans of the purpose of life and to control evil intentions. In order to perceive through rational created senses, one should have self-control to remain in provided guidelines to satisfy the natural instincts. So, it is made clear that the final authority is the Creator of all types of living beings, like stated in V-42:49-50,” To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills. He bestows female (offspring) upon whom He wills, and bestows male (offspring) upon whom He wills. Or He bestows both males and females, and He renders barren whom He wills. Verily, He is the All-Knower and is Able to do all things.”

Mankind is repeatedly reminded that judgment day is must, so control the aggressive self, follow guidelines, and invest in good deeds with fellow human beings for reward, otherwise one will be punished properly for misconduct. Those who remain alert control their extreme behavior with fear of Allah, recorded ama-nama and being cross questioned for deeds. As Allah is gracious in His forgiveness to mankind and will even extra bless extra righteous persons for their deeds, it is declared in V-4:173,” So, as for those who believed (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) and did deeds of righteousness, He will give their (due) rewards, and more out of His Bounty. But as for those who refuse His worship and were proud, He will punish them with a painful torment. And they will not find for themselves besides Allah any protector or helper.”

Therefore. religion is the right, moderate direction to pass a healthy and peaceful life, is so simple, easy to follow, providing genuine facilities to enjoy the instinctive needs but not to cross limits to harm a civil society by following responsibilities, rights and duties as a civilized person to flourish in society. Islam is based on human nature and provides insight in full freedom for satisfaction of instinctive needs but it has balanced control in expression like a wild animal. In order to control the extremity in a civilized society, it has guided principles to keep in limits for human mental hygiene. Therefore, code of ethics is introduced to have self-control in life under set rules. Being a generous guide to His mankind, Allah has delivered guidelines for self-correction in a simplified pattern such as given in V-42:36-43,” So whatever you have been given is but a passing enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah (Paradise) is better and more lasting for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs). And those who avoid the greater sins, and Al-Fawahish (illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and when they are angry, they forgive. And those who answer the Call of their Lord [i.e. to believe that He is the only One Lord (Allah), and to worship none but Him Alone], and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and who (conduct) their affairs by mutual consultation, and who spend of what We have bestowed on them; And those who, when an oppressive wrong is done to them, they take revenge. The recompense for an evil is an evil like thereof, but whoever forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah. Verily, He likes not the Zalimun (oppressors, polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.). And indeed, whosoever takes revenge after he has suffered wrong, for such there is no way (of blame) against them. The way (of blame) is only against those who oppress men and wrongly rebel in the earth, for such there will be a painful torment. And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah.”

Qur’an is full of wisdom on how to pass a peaceful, meaningful life under the sovereignty of the sole Creator who is immortal, one unique force and handling His universal system according to set programming. Unfortunately, Muslim society has mixed taboos, cultural standards, rituals or family preferences in meeting the simple sexual needs in time by defaming the Islamic concepts in the world.

Mankind has weaknesses as revealed 1440 years in the Quran like Zaeef (Emotionally Weak), Fawish (Shameful deeds/Malicious), Zalem (Cruel), Jahel (Ignorant), Insaan (Forgetful/short memory)Umyun (Short-sighted), Sumun (Deaf), Nadimeen (Repenter), Khaaen (Traitor/Dishonest), Nafsee (Selfish/Self-willed), Haased (Jealous), Khaasem (Argumentative), maaker (Conspirator), Mureeb (Blocked with confusion), Saroora (Deranged), Aashir (Self-centered), Alaudoon (Crossing limits), Khataea (Sinner), Maazeera (Excuser), Mutufafeen (Cheater), Ghaween (Lost) etc. In human beings, instinct play an aggressive role. Besides hunger, thirst and free air for living, sex is the most important instinct in the living being which is compulsory and also part of multiplication; it is hard to control as humans turn wild and create social disharmony in the form of aggressive, abnormal components in a civilized culture. To meet the instinctive needs, there is fair, genuine and legitimate ways to meet these needs and after it to thank the Lord as advised in V-42: 11-12,” The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you mates from yourselves, and for the cattle (also) mates. By this means He creates you (in the wombs). There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth, He enlarges provision for whom He wills, and straitens (it for whom He wills). Verily! He is the All-Knower of everything.”

Some of the rigid clients, who instead of marrying according to available marital partners waste time in unique choices, due to repression of id impulses for a long time or having sexual abuse incidents, are often under ego defense mechanism. They are mentally derailed to such an extent that they are involved in de-zoning projection and start perceiving sexual harassment and sexual advancement against desired persons. Social and cultural taboos favor these people for piousness, and the innocent become targets in such situations. So, it is not the fault of religious ethical and moral codes, rather misperception of the cultural restrictions. Islam encourages to have contracted marriages in time to save from illegitimate affairs, and encourages to marry the deprived to start a normal, peaceful life, as provided in Al-Nissa. This surah is full of guidelines on how to complete a marriage process with meher (bond) to keep this relation in life and not just for fun and pleasure. Even more than a single marriage is allowed, but men are warned to be just in dealing fully with rights of each wive, or otherwise be questioned as quoted in An-Nissa, in V-4:129-130.” You will never be able to do perfect justice between wives even if it is your ardent desire, so do not incline too much to one of them (by giving her more of your time and provision) so as to leave the other hanging (i.e. neither divorced nor married). And if you do justice, and do all that is right and fear Allah by keeping away from all that is wrong, then Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. But if they separate (by divorce), Allah will provide abundance for everyone of them from His Bounty. And Allah is Ever All-Sufficient for His creatures' need, All-Wise.”

For the meeting of instinctive needs and checking vulgarity in society, when nobody is available, men can go for an available maid through marriage contract, advised in V-4:25,” And whoever of you have not the means wherewith to wed free, believing women, they may wed believing girls from among those (captives and slaves) whom your right hands possess, and Allah has full knowledge about your Faith, you are one from another. Wed them with the permission of their own folk (guardians, Auliya' or masters) and give them their Mahr according to what is reasonable; they (the above said captive and slave-girls) should be chaste, not adulterous, nor taking boy-friends. And after they have been taken in wedlock, if they commit illegal sexual intercourse, their punishment is half that for free (unmarried) women. This is for him among you who is afraid of being harmed in his religion or in his body; but it is better for you that you practise self-restraint, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Muslims are advised to prefer love over instinct and keep peace with spouses in the religion of peace, narrated in V-4:128,” And if a woman fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part, there is no sin on them both if they make terms of peace between themselves; and making peace is better. And human inner-selves are swayed by greed. But if you do good and keep away from evil, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do.”

In order to control sexual exploitation in the Muslim society in the constant battles when women’s numbers superseded those of men, men were even allowed to marry more with justice in dealing among them stated in V-4:3,”And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphan-girls, then marry (other) women of your choice, two or three, or four but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one or (the captives and the slaves) that your right hands possess. That is nearer to prevent you from doing injustice.”

Human beings are repeatedly warned to use reasoning in all affairs by following the rules practically and if major sins are controlled, still He will forgive the minors as He is very generous in blessings to the righteous, as repeated in V-4:31-32,” If you avoid the great sins which you are forbidden to do, We shall remit from you your (small) sins, and admit you to a Noble Entrance (i.e. Paradise).And wish not for the things in which Allah has made some of you to excel others. For men there is reward for what they have earned, (and likewise) for women there is reward for what they have earned, and ask Allah of His Bounty. Surely, Allah is Ever All-Knower of everything.”

As far as preliminary practices are obligatory, one must follow them and leniency is provided to stick fast to prayers with senses in all types of circumstances such as stated in V-4:43,” O you who believe! Approach not As-Salat (the prayer) when you are in a drunken state until you know (the meaning) of what you utter, nor when you are in a state of Janaba, (i.e. in a state of sexual impurity and have not yet taken a bath) except when travelling on the road (without enough water, or just passing through a mosque), till you wash your whole body. And if you are ill, or on a journey, or one of you comes after answering the call of nature, or you have been in contact with women (by sexual relations) and you find no water, perform Tayammum with clean earth and rub therewith your faces and hands (Tayammum). Truly, Allah is Ever Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.”

Allah is kind and gracious and is aware of weaknesses or physical limitations, so under hard conditions, He has temporarily allowed Muslims to eat prohibited foods. Allah is generous to mankind to meet the natural instinctive needs, and Muslims are allowed to marry the Ahele kitab with expressed contract of marriage allowed instead of illegal sexual affairs. It is quoted in V-5:5 Made lawful to you this day are At-Tayyibat [all kinds of Halal (lawful) foods, which Allah has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, etc., milk products, fats, vegetables and fruits, etc.). The food (slaughtered cattle, eatable animals, etc.) of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) is lawful to you and yours is lawful to them. (Lawful to you in marriage) are chaste women from the believers and chaste women from those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) before your time, when you have given their due Mahr (bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage), desiring chastity (i.e. taking them in legal wedlock) not committing illegal sexual intercourse, nor taking them as girl-friends. And whosoever disbelieves in the Oneness of Allah and in all the other Articles of Faith [i.e. His (Allah's), Angels, His Holy Books, His Messengers, the Day of Resurrection and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments)], then fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter, he will be among the losers.”

Keeping in view the human urges, Allah provided leniency to meet the legal instinctive needs but He provided a way out to keep the primary practices despite all situational circumstances. In this respect, easy and comprehensive directions are provided for the insight of true Muslims to keep prayers in time under all circumstances. It is revealed in V-2:187,” It is made lawful for you to have sexual relations with your wives on the night of As-Saum (the fasts). They are Libas [i.e. body cover, or screen, or Sakan, (i.e. you enjoy the pleasure), for you and you are the same for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He turned to you (accepted your repentance) and forgave you. So now have sexual relations with them and seek that which Allah has ordained for you (offspring), and eat and drink until the white thread (light) of dawn appears to you distinct from the black thread (darkness of night), then complete your Saum (fast) till the nightfall. And do not have sexual relations with them (your wives) while you are in I'tikaf (i.e. confining oneself in a mosque for prayers and invocations leaving the worldly activities) in the mosques. These are the limits (set) by Allah, so approach them not. Thus, does Allah make clear His Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, revelations, verses, laws, legal and illegal things, Allah's set limits, orders, etc.) to mankind that they may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious).

Islamic theology is based on reasoning and human nature but it is strict in carrying out the basic pillars of faith like monotheism and regularity in prayers with devotion and piousness. It is still lenient to provide means to carry out practices under hard conditions. Although wudhu and clean pure body and dress is essential, leniency is provided in certain circumstances to complete regular prayer. The example is quoted to meet such circumstances in V-5:6.,” O you who believe! When you intend to offer As-Salat (the prayer), wash your faces and your hands (forearms) up to the elbows, rub (by passing wet hands over) your heads, and (wash) your feet up to ankles. If you are in a state of Janaba (i.e. had a sexual discharge), purify yourself (bathe your whole body). But if you are ill or on a journey or any of you comes from answering the call of nature, or you have been in contact with women (i.e. sexual intercourse) and you find no water, then perform Tayammum with clean earth and rub therewith your faces and hands. Allah does not want to place you in difficulty, but He wants to purify you, and to complete His Favour on you that you may be thankful.”

For creating peace and harmony and easy relaxed life, human beings are advised to behave nicely to all as once one was in the same state, is advised in V-4:96,” Degrees of (higher) grades from Him, and Forgiveness and Mercy. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

Allah is so generous to provide leniency under emergency to His mankind, so He allows them to eat the forbidden meal to prevail as noted in V-6:145,” Say (O Muhammad): "I find not in that which has been inspired to me anything forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be Maytatah (a dead animal) or blood poured forth (by slaughtering or the like), or the flesh of swine (pork, etc.) for that surely is impure, or impious (unlawful) meat (of an animal) which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah (or has been slaughtered for idols, etc., or on which Allah's Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But whosoever is forced by necessity without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits, (for him) certainly, your Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Over all the analysis, it is made clear that although mankind is emotionally weak, they are provided leniency in meeting the instinctive need within a set system but if they are derailed and repent, still the Lord’s door is open in 4-17-18 acceptance of forgiveness, V-4:17-18,”Allah accepts only the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and foolishness and repent soon afterwards; it is they to whom Allah will forgive and Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise. And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says: "Now I repent;" nor of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful torment.”

” Verily, those who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book, and purchase a small gain therewith (of worldly things); they eat into their bellies nothing but fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor purify them, and theirs will be a painful torment. Those are they who have purchased error at the price of Guidance, and torment at the price of Forgiveness. So how bold they are (for evil deeds which will push them) to the Fire. That is because Allah has sent down the Book (the Qur'an) in truth. And verily, those who disputed as regards the Book are far away in opposition”. (V-2:174-176)

A Guideline for the Present Era in Muslim Countries

“A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. And if you (O Muhammad) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names.” V-20: 4-8.

Irrespective of any religion, science or intellectual domain, it is essential to set the parameter of the Originator of the universal system and living beings. Reason demands that human being who is mortal and has his own limitations, is incapable to create sky, lands, sea, mountains, moon, sun, stars and changing weather or creating other human beings. Moreover, if there would have been more than one creator, they would be struggling to have power over each other leading to chaos, destruction and unmanageable catastrophes in the whole universe. Besides, an individual has not come by choice and has least control on his sufferings, fate or life duration. Having said that, it becomes logical for a person to only fear, worry and subdue to that authority in all aspects, life challenges and provisions. As all the creatures are struggling for the survival, so they need not be scared for the temporary power, resources, wealth etc. of their superior human fellow, rather struggle for the achievements and strictly follow the directions and practice the rules to have a soothing life. He must be thankful to His blessings as all is in action under His command and run by the Super Power. Logically, an intelligent person will prefer His directions than making personal judgments, will be not scared from other creatures like jinns or monarchs as he himself is a privileged creature of his Master and will not be scared of self-created fears, assumptions or abnormal phantasies. In the same way, if he begs for provisions, children, help in health, wealth or testing from such secondary features, they are all dependent on the Sole Master of the universe. The Creator knows his creature better than anyone else and is responsible for the creature’s genuine needs. Human beings are selfish and arrogant to hold maximum in shortest possible time and struggle through corruption, killing, robbing other resources, etc. So, under the temptations, hoarding or complexes of human beings are self-created assumption as at death he cannot keep it with himself and leaves all earned under temptations. Knowing the nature of human beings as a rational and desired Naib, the Creator sends directions through His messengers to guide and direct the misled abnormal human beings. Logical information is provided with examples and historical end result of the rebellions of His orders. As he has been given freedom of personal choice, therefore it is left to his own discretion to follow it without any compulsion by providing details of final judgment for his own personal deeds. Allah has created the sources for the mankind under his control to thank Him for all type of blessings as an obedient servant to Him only. It is done to provide him with the purpose of his creation, life span to act with freedom of choice with orders to follow the messengers so then mankind has no excuse to say that he is going to be punished for the evil deeds and disobedience to the Creator. In this respect, it is up to a person how he is going to pass his given life time as his all intentions (overt and covert behavior) is under recording and is supervised by the Creator through wireless connection to the main server. It will be placed in his hand prior to call for his deed’s evaluation on the Day of Judgment.

At times, it is debated why religious, noble, simple and orthodox-minded are aggressive, anxious, obsessive or subject to psychological ailments. The analysis of the data reveals that it is not the religion or religious practices rather the self-induced fear of divine, personality impoverishment, repressed thoughts with guilty feelings, self-punishment over uncontrolled id impulses and the perfectionist attitudes that turn them mentally sick. Whereas Lord repeatedly welcomes even the sinners to be embraced with his gracious forgiveness as his criteria of reinforcement is according to an individual’s capacity and potentials induced within him.

Therefore, those who believe in this accountability remain always conscious to control wild desire, aggressive evil deeds and anti-social activities by sharing His wishes and provisions with fellow human beings as children of Adam. So, after the parameter of Creator and the creatures, I am going to share the psycho-social ups and downs in human life, for which the messages of Allah were revealed to guide mankind according to nature. It is available to all in the present internet era but it is one’s personal choice to take it for practices, debate it as a rational discussion or ignore it that who cares for such sermons or outdated stories of destroyed nations.

It is a very vast subject to present the basic narrations on the subject. However, as a student of psychology, my narration is based on fifty years of studies, research, and in-depth repeated comprehension of the Qur’an with authentic meanings and professional experience of both eastern and western cultural aspects and training as a psychotherapist. Nobody is perfect but I have tried to visualize the depth of mental health bases in the Quran revealed 1,440 years ago by the Creator Himself with what concepts He created His beloved creature Adam and his children, why, where and how they need direction to pass a peaceful moderate life. Almighty Creator used both preventive and curative method to pass a balanced normal life. The behavior modification method with systematic change and reinforcement laws are introduced for a healthy society.

I am sorry to add that when I have found the Qur’anic scientific data presented 1,440 years ago which is based on law of observation and logical thinking in the words of Allah, my Muslim brothers, scholars, intellectuals and psychologists preferred the 150 years biased human theoretical concepts. It is observed that often non-Arabic Muslims recite the Holy Book hundreds of time without comprehending the subject, so they are easily derailed by semi-educated self-oriented religious leaders. On the other hand, the Arabic speakers just take the Qur’an’s words over performing or following the golden rules mentioned in it. The present state of the Middle East is a precise picture of ignorance and non-serious attitudes of the readers of the Qur’anic principles for application in the individual and social life in Muslim culture.

In fact, detailed logical data and guideline are available for a truth seeker if he has no predisposition to refute or criticize it for the sake of criticism. Moreover, due to a common unconscious pattern of a Muslim’s mental functioning, I as a student of psychotherapy feel, it is easy to analyze and resolve the psychological sufferings of a Muslim than a non-Muslim. I applied it in group rehabilitation and treatment as a chief psychologist in Earthquake affected of Pakistan and AJK in the national crisis of 2006.

Information is provided not only of the creation of the universe and its components but it also narrated the nature of Adam and temptations which trapped the deported from paradise to earth for which he needed guidance for correction.

Islam is not just a philosophy or thought, rather it is logical data based on feelings and application with comprehension in daily life affairs. Knowledge without action is a phantasy or confusion. So, in expressing the human nature, Allah has revealed both preventive and curative measures to resolve the complexes in a human life. As a social welfare religion, preference is given on prevention rather its treatment.

In self-curiosity and research, psychologists and various human researchers have been in progress to pinpoint the causes and solution of human normal and abnormal behavior. Some of these concepts and theories emerged over time, culture and human experience but lost importance over time.

MULLAH'S ROLE IN MISGUIDING THE IGNORANT FOLLOWERS

For the awareness of knowledge-seekers in Islam, one must be know the differences between a true submitted Muslim like Mualana (religious scholar), Imam (leader of the religious prayers), Sheikh (highly educated authority on the true interpretation of the Qur’an and mannerism of the last Prophet), Oliaha (only connected to his Creator and doing prescribed duties for His satisfaction), Derwaish (accomplishing life goals by controlling the self and related temptations), Wali (a committed scholar for betterment of the religion) and current fake religious personalities among the Ummah who use titles for personal gains and to fool the ignorant devotees of Islam. A true saint, AAlam/Wali, in Islamic spirit remains a strict believer in monotheism and is a follower of the mannerisms of the Holy Prophet which appears in the deeds through patience, simplicity, humility, peace loving, motivation for the unity of Muslims, insight in divine knowledge, devotion to praise of Allah, and avoiding worldly needs over religious obligatory duties of serving needy people.

During the life of the Holy Prophet, the knowledge-seeking group of devoted companions of the Prophet, called the Ahab-e-sofa, spent their lives learning, collecting, recording and clarifying their concepts by inquiring the details of surahs from the Prophet. They not only used to record and follow his mannerism but also the purpose of it for the understanding of the followers.

Since Muhammad (PBUH), there are innumerable instances in the history of Muslims when certain people used the religious umbrella for self-projection and personal gains by fooling the ignorant and simple Muslims folk. Some introduced shortcuts to get to paradise; others use superstitions and pleasureful ceremonies to attract the masses against a disciplined religion. Some consciously or inattentively blended the local traditions and rituals to appease the existing cultural system; others used new versions of Islam for popularity. These renegade of Islam do not even repent to misguide the innocent follower when they introduce Bidaha. Some of these introduce the practice of chilla (self-imposed act of recluse for self-control practices), while shrine custodians use sparkling robes with magnified appearances to fool the short-sighted urban as well as simpletons from rural areas. Still there are other manipulators who use psychological techniques like a sooth sayer, astrologist, and sorcerer by using amulet business among the gullible population for relief of agony and appeasement. There are those political opportunists who not only gain control on an established government through spying for hostile powers, but also fool the helpless nation by imposing a self-created agenda of Islam, declaring an Amir ul Momeen in a progressive society by being as accepted as religious heads. The deteriorating state of Muslims not abiding by the rules of the Qur’an is stated in V-22: 41,” Those (Muslim rulers) who, if We give them power in the land, (they) order for Iqamat-as-Salat. [i.e. to perform the five compulsory congregational Salat (prayers) (the males in mosques)], to pay the Zakat and they enjoin Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism and all that Islam has forbidden) [i.e. they make the Qur'an as the law of their country in all the spheres of life]. And with Allah rests the end of (all) matters (of creatures).”

The use of sources to define a certain class as Jihadist based on the control over the Ummah by crushing the undesirable person or states with western allies disintegrates Muslim unity only for the sake personal gains, luring people to terrorism by using adulation to motivate the masses. Certain Muslim scholars, instead of introducing the Qur’anic treasure of knowledge to the world, to appease and achieve glorified status have started to ridicule the Qur’anic verses without going into factual data for which other researchers have applauded their contribution as reformers, guides and models. Unfortunately, these writers are disgracing the causes of mankind itself.

These people are the genius and elite among their own nations and are also equipped with the best senses and intellect to control the masses by understanding the psychology of the population they deal with to accomplish their personal agenda. They are the best applied psychologists who are smart in their fields to figure out the time, space and targeted population area suitable for their personal agenda with the support of associates who keep preparing the masses to accept the verdicts of their Pirs, Faqirs, and Gurus. The simple-natured, illiterate and submissive Muslims of countries like Morocco, Sudan, Nigeria, Egypt, Indo-Pakistan sub-continent, Afghanistan, and the tribal areas are the most suitable socio-cultural groups for this champion of the business of religious. Their affiliations are based on cultivated, unconscious fears of superhuman powers like Jinn, and then forced upon adolescents, particularly girls, to repress their id impulses with frightening stories of evil spirits, with personality impoverishment and guilt feelings. When they have a lose self-control by fighting with the inner thoughts, the stored mental picture of childhood turns into the super power of their religious heads who seem to perform miracles in resolving the evil spirit. Once a successful miracle becomes the story of the village, the business remains open till education and reasoning remove the miracle from such underdeveloped areas where people are not aware of Qur’anic knowledge or its comprehension. These kinds of social learnt behavior are the production of clever Muslim religious brokers who know when, where and how to spread the irrational beliefs for their benefits; otherwise, Jinns are not bound a particular place but their ruling power over human fantasy is created by those who rule via the psychology of rumors and propaganda. If Muslims, due to lack of knowledge of the Qur’an and reasoning skills, wish to be subdued by other creatures, then it is their own fault of submission to Jinns as Allah has given humans the status of deputy on this Earth. Psychologically, the rate of fantasies drops with reasoning, exposure to science and strong trust in Allah, who has supremacy over Jinns and all other creatures in this universe. Psychological illusory process takes place in a frightened person when he does not have complete and precise perception, such as a terrified person perceives a rope moving in dim light a moving snake and runs from it because the snake is inside and not outside on the ground.

The answer to all these issues is in the Qur’an. These aspects can be comprehended only by connecting oneself with open mind and objective intentions to study the Qur’an. After this commitment, one can easily grasp the knowledge step by step in seeking its guidelines. This leads to a thorough comprehension of the essence of the religion to such extent that finally one develops feeling into one’s self. In fact this divine book of psychology has been revealed to the mankind to make up for his ignorance and limitations on this Earth.

The difference between a scholar following practices in religion (Mualana, Sheikh, Wali, and AAlam) and Mullah/Imam is that of gaining formal and religious knowledge, self-control practicing and training under the supervision of scholars of Islam, and going through an internship period after passing for certification from an authentic institution. Unfortunately, some Mullahs/Imams do not go through the prescribed standard, and become the heads and custodians of religious institutions on the basis of ancestral role in the community. They lack formal education and personality development and, being extremist in nature, easily get enraged and try to control the naïve and ignorant masses by creating fear of torment for ignoring their verdicts about the religion. They declare and dictate their authority over the followers by claiming to be the chosen people of Allah to guide and mediate for the forgiveness of the sinful deeds with an authority to recommend for the paradise. Allah revealed the future state of such religious leaders as in V-22-70 &73-75,” Know you not that Allah knows all that is in heaven and on Earth? Verily, it is (all) in the Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). Verily! That is easy for Allah. 73-75 O mankind! A similitude has been coined, so listen to it (carefully): Verily! Those on whom you call besides Allah, cannot create (even) a fly, even though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly snatched away a thing from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought. They have not estimated Allah His Rightful Estimate; Verily, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty. Allah chooses Messengers from angels and from men. Verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Seer.”

Psychologically, preaching without practice has no effect on one’s own self and the listeners. Intentions and deeds count and not accusing others; presenting great philosophies by shouting is of no use as the orator remains empty with the fear of exposure. Islam is strictly against such practices which the present day Mullahs/Imams are using to control the masses for their personal agendas. Only Allah has the authority of forgiveness and none else. It is a warning to those who look for shortcuts by looking toward their saints/pirs as a source of recommendation without following the obligatory duties in Islam, as revealed in V-30:31-34.

The Qur’an is the base of a true follower

The commitment to Islam is not just to merely have a Muslim name or to be born in a Muslim family; rather it is a strong commitment to the faith and its practices based on the monotheism of Allah (God), acceptance of the authority of last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as the messenger of Allah (God), following his mannerisms for guidance, and belief in angels, previous prophets, their Holy books, the Day of Judgment, and the Qur’an. These bases are repeatedly revealed in Qur’an with detailed case histories of various nations as well as the details of origin and end of the present universal system with accountability of deeds according to set rules of justice for reward or punishment by Allah (God) on the Day of Judgment. So it is quoted in the very start of Surah 02 Al Baqarah in these verses 2-16.

Man does not realize his limitations, claims to be perfect and does not realize that the there is some Authority who is running not only the life process of each living being and has set a system of the universal program. It is similar to the mental state of a layman who, while driving a car, faces a problem in his car transmission; he just sees the body of his car but is unable to understand the inner functioning of the car engine. He rushes to mechanics and each expert tries to resolve the issue and, if not, he is referred to other experts or ends up in replacing its parts. In the same way, Allah (God) who created His whole universe has complete knowledge of His production and purpose of His creation. He knows that His favorite creature on Earth, i.e. man, has limitations, He sends guidelines to this beloved creature through His prophets, has programmed the universal system, created accountability process on Day of Judgment, awarding paradise to obedient worker and punishment in hell to those disobedient to Him and His guidelines. Qur’an has the guidelines and the course to follow to pass the set criteria after passing the life span. Allah has revealed these facts in various Surah of Qur’an.

Qur’an and the religion are mostly interpreted by non-Arabic speaking Mullahs/Imams on the basis of hearsay of their family elders. It is the same practice which pagans adapted and refused to leave their traditional faith of the elders whenever they were corrected by the respective prophet for monotheism.

These people know the art of making right wrong and proving wrong right to get their job done in the shortest possible time. They consider themselves successful achievers and manipulators. They are also aware that life is short and no one is able to control death even using the best specialist, medicine or health tonic as each human being will leave empty handed and all the achievements will just become a story. They intentionally become naïve to the verses of the Qur’an which they know more precisely then a layman fooled by their presentations. It is made clear to the intelligent that Allah will question all those deeds done intentionally and those acts performed without senses (unconsciously) will be not penalized. Therefore, the insane, psychotic, feeble-minded, paralyzed etc., who have no control on their faculties are not liable to perform obligatory deeds which demand the senses and will where as the intellectuals will be strongly questioned due to their special skills of perception, comprehension and actions.

According to Qur’anic faith and order, a true religious leader only preaches and acts on monotheism and never turns against this basic faith. It is stated in V-3: 79-80,” It is not (possible) for any human being to whom Allah has given the Book and Al-Hukma (the knowledge and understanding of the laws of religion, etc.) and Prophethood to say to the people: "Be my worshippers rather than Allah's." On the contrary (he would say): "Be you Rabbaniyun (learned men of religion who practice what they know and also preach others), because you are teaching the Book, and you are studying it." Nor would he order you to take angels and Prophets for lords (gods). Would he order you to disbelieve after you have submitted to Allah's Will? “

V-3:81-83,” And (remember) when Allah took the Covenant of the Prophets, saying: "Take whatever I gave you from the Book and Hikmah (understanding of the Laws of Allah, etc.), and afterwards there will come to you a Messenger (Muhammad) confirming what is with you; you must, then, believe in him and help him." Allah said: "Do you agree (to it) and will you take up My Covenant (which I conclude with you)?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness; and I am with you among the witnesses (for this)."Then whoever turns away after this, they are the Fasiqun (rebellious: those who turn away from Allah's Obedience). Do they seek other than the religion of Allah (the true Islamic Monotheism worshipping none but Allah Alone), while to Him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the Earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned.”

In Qur’an it is stated that the worst treatment is for those who divided and fought after embracing Islam by following pre-Islamic states, V-3: 103-106 & 129,” And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Qur'an), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allah's Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islamic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that you may be guided. Let their arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful. And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them. It is they for whom there is an awful torment. On the Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) when some faces will become white and some faces will become black; as for those whose faces will become black (to them will be said): Did you reject Faith after accepting it? Then taste the torment (in Hell) for rejecting Faith’.” "And to Allah belong all that is in the heavens and all that is in the Earth. He forgives whom He wills, and punishes whom He wills. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

Indeed Qur’anic description of creating problems for peace in the Ummah and creating fights within the Muslims is as the worst and mischievous act. Verses in the Holy Book describe the accomplices, munafqeens, mujrameen, accsalaheen who will have to face the final curt of judgment of Almighty Allah who will place the aggressor and cruel aristocrats in hellfire whereas the other side of the picture is about the obedient forgivers devoted to words of Allah but submitting with good deeds (not just preaching without practically doing it with commitment), the mutaqueen who will be placed with the best reward and status in paradise forever. There are precise narrations of Qur’an about the above-mentioned character in Muslims, such as revealed in V-9: 34 and V-3:75.
